Summer Transfer Window 22/23

Even Spurs first time isn’t that hot. Outside of Kane and Son it’s alright. Those two make up the vast majority of Spurs quality and goal threat. Spurs won’t win the league and Conte will throw a wobbly at some point in the season or next. Spurs are spending big so there will be expectations.

I think Spurs will be right up there this season, they haven't even begun to get rid of the dead wood and they'll be at least a couple more additions to come... Hoping it's not just another 2 horse race again

Rumours this morning that Chelsea are upping their interest in FDJ and are looking to hijack the move, take with pinch of salt though as I wouldn't trust the source(Guardian).

Looks like Raphinha going to Barca. Fair play to him, stuck with where he wanted to go rather than following the money to Chelsea. Newcastle interested was just lolworthy.

I think all links to us (Newcastle) are going to be rags looking for clicks, or agents trying to jack prices up.

I'm hoping as time goes by (and especially with Ashworth) things stay quiet for us until it's pretty much done.

But first summer with new money so the noise wouldn't be unexpected - I'm honestly surprised we've not been linked with every striker going.

Read the first line of the article, doesn't sound like they're looking to hijack to me.

Chelsea are monitoring developments around Frenkie de Jong and could target the Barcelona midfielder if his move to Manchester United breaks down.

This times a million, it's easy journalism to link Newcastle with every single player out there now they have money, surprised it hasn't happened a lot more often tbh

Because no one cares. Even though United are crap and irrelevant to anything at the sharp end of football currently they still get the most engagement out of every club. That’s why we are linked to everyone.

We’re in advanced talks for Ajax’s Martinez now (Athletic). Belief he prefers us to Arsenal but we’ll see…

Primarily a centre back, good on the ball, can play CDM too. Not the tallest, knows Ten Hag well.

I thought the De Jong saga was meant to be sewn up by the 30th of June. I guess Raphinha is the missing piece to get it all over the line?
That was because they needed the money for their accounts. They did some different deal for that (sold video rights or something like that?) Now they need to get his wage off the book if they want to register new signings, that can be done any time before the window closes.

Ronaldo has asked to leave if a satisfactory offer comes in for him. (Duncan Castles, The Times) Mendes will have told Castles so the information is good.

Wants CL football for the last couple of years of his career. I think it’s fair enough if we can find a decent replacement, not sure there are lots of great strikers available…

What is a satisfactory offer though?

Ronaldo could have done with saying this when the season finished to be honest. You'd probably of gone in harder on Nunez.
