City have brought in Alvarez as well as Haaland. Two in and two out in terms of forwards.

Only Mo has more goals and assists then Sterling in the last 5 seasons. Both of those coming in are unknown quantities in the PL and Alverez in Europe period. I think its a big loss for them.

I’m kind of annoyed we got rejected, but I’m not too disappointed. He’s just too small and our defence was very good at defending crosses and corners last year.

Kane, Son, Rashford, Mane, Mahrez and even Ozil tbf who was the so called assist king. Plenty of forwards cant touch Sterling for numbers.

Sterling from wide has hit double figures for goals in the last 5 seasons and has a goal scoring record of 1 in 2 in the PL.

That's ridiculous.

Didn't Sterling constantly reject contract offers? He appeared to want to run his contract down and given how City play now, fast moving passing football, and the fact he scored the majority of his goals from 1 yard out, he's no loss to them.

Its going to be an interesting season with both Liverpool and City seemingly going back to a more traditional shape with an out and out forward after years of relying on goals from across the front 3 and midfield.

That’s my point though, height isn’t necessarily the most critical thing. It does help though of course, in some situations.
