Really not sure what to make of this if true. We haven't signed anyone yet, and willing to let the captain go? Last season was disappointing after the highs of the last few years, this one is looking like it could be worse.

We did have really bad luck with injuries, but it feels like we're on a downward trajectory, and we're not even being linked with any/many players. Schmeichel is a club legend and I have no problem with him leaving if we're going to be signing a decent replacement (I'm not sure about Ward), but the lack of transfer activity is concerning. I'm not sure but we may have some FFP concerns, which would be another reason for getting Kasper off the books I guess.

It's a complete disaster this summer. Schmeichel going to the French league. We could have bought Nick Pope as an excellent replacement. Chelsea trying to get Fofana.
