I know we been linked multiple times and Howe seems to be a fan.
Has his injuries been bad luck or recurring problems?
Indeed thought you were after an out and out number 6.
There’s some quality midfielders out there atm outrageous money doesn’t need to be spent.
If you want to to play that Trent inverse role you could do with a fast CB/RB hybrid.

Seems we are trying to resign Forster if we managed to secure Champion League.
Would help massively for the squad restrictions.

With regards to Rice and Joe
People do underestimate both players.
They do have overlapping qualities.
Balling wining, ball carrying gods of football would be the overlapping ones.
But they are slightly different.
For a number 6 Rice all day long. Has much better progressives passing stats.
Deployed higher up the pitch Joe comes into his own. Take ons, progressive receiving, pressing etc.
Jude probably has the more desirable attributes of both which is why he’s the most chased midfielder atm.

Arsenal had a long term interest in the lad I believe. He has stated he wants champions league football next season.
If he goes anywhere else’s it’s purely for the money
70million euro release clauses. Fully expected it has to be triggered.

He’s liking Newcastle posts on socials. RB have Champions league football. If he goes to a club that’s not in the champions league next year

With regards to transfers that’s why you are seeing us move for players that can play in multiple positions. Smaller more flexible squad.
Quite a few players are heading for the exit this summer some in pretty decent wages also.
Our shirt sponsorship have more than tripled. Noon paid more for the sleeve than fun88 as the main one last season for example.
Failing that I believe Amanda is still friendly with City as she was involved in the sale of the club.
I’m sure she has still got a phone number or two for their accounts department!!!
