will probably be to invite them into the CL.
will 100% happen.. football has always been about the money.. especially the people who govern it..
will probably be to invite them into the CL.
Womens league? Can't even call it a farmers league, what's below that? Sheppard's league?
Yup, personal terms agreed and Lavia wants the move understandablyApparently we've slapped in a 35m bid for Lavia..
I read it in the Daily Express, not sure what Twitter is, havent heard of that, do you mean X ?Has this news come from anywhere reliable or from pound shop Romano's on twitter?
It feels like a sensible and appropriate signing (despite the fee - I think we're now in a world where paying £50m for significant talent is unsurprising, unfortunately), and wouldn't surprise me at all, but I've not seen anything concrete on it.Has this news come from anywhere reliable or from pound shop Romano's on twitter?
This is absolutely 100% what will happen.Although the answer will probably be to invite them into the CL.
I'd imagine they're just reporting guff off X ( ) then.I read it in the Daily Express, not sure what Twitter is, havent heard of that, do you mean X ?
Yea, I get the feeling it's going to happen but all I've seen today is some Belgian journo, who's found a way of tweeting a new update on the story every 5 minutes for the past month, reporting his latest twist on the story. And I agree on getting a more experienced player as well. A couple of reports came out linking us with Palhinha the other day and providing he wasn't going to cost much more than £50m, him + Lavia seemed to be a perfect combo. The club clearly feel Lavia's the long term option for us but maybe isn't ready from day one to play week in week out and while Palhinha wasn't going to set the world alight, he does everything we need from a 6 and would have been a safe bet in the short to medium term while Lavia beds in. Needless to say just being linked with us lead to Palhinha dislocating his shoulder which probably puts that link to bed.It feels like a sensible and appropriate signing (despite the fee - I think we're now in a world where paying £50m for significant talent is unsurprising, unfortunately), and wouldn't surprise me at all, but I've not seen anything concrete on it.
That said, if it's Lavia I'd also hope that we're looking at someone a bit more experienced, with some time under their belt, who we can get on the cheap to "replace" Milner and Henderson. The equivalent of Eriksen at United, for instance.

From a purely football point of view it would make sense but in 12 months you're probably still going to need to sign another CM and you're not getting close to £40m for Fab, not unless he's found his legs over the summer.Story on the Athletic that the Fabinho move is in trouble. To be honest, if the Saudi interest means that we get a young future replacement (eg Lavia), and we keep Fabinho for one more year while that replacement and Baj develop, that's a pretty good outcome.
Surely Elanaga is worth more than £15m? At least we sold him, I guess? Does the sale cover the cost of rashfords shoe laces?
Ornstein is Mr reliable.Ornstein reporting Southampton have rejected our opening bid - not sure he constitutes guff or not though Baz
Already said good luck getting him sub 50Read it on Bigpig's blog, myself.
