Summer Transfer Window 23/24

To be honest I'd rather not suffer the humiliation of being bent over and penetrated by Daniel Levy. I'd rather bring in a younger player and develop them.

Levy won't sell him to us and we can't afford him by all accounts. He considers us a direct rival and would much rather take less money and sell him abroad. How much less do you think he would take to not sell him to a PL rival. £30m? By all accounts Bayern are offering £80m+.

Insane that Utd aren’t willing to let him go for £20m, holding on for £25m at this stage of the game is a bit daft to me.

They’ll end up just keeping him now. Same as what they done with JLingz as WHU won’t over pay for him.

Hes not a bad defender and replacing him with anyone even half as good would cost way more. Hes a known quantity and despite his high wages hes not the worst backup in a busy season.

Varane can't stay fit. Lindelof isn't top top class and as we saw last season, we had Varane and Martinez injured and we needed Maguire. Hes simply worth more than £20m and United know it. WHU know it as well. They are just lowballing us and testing the waters.

Nah, let's get a proper striker who is almost a guaranteed success and then look to bring in a young, cheapish understudy...

There is no such thing right now unless you want to spend north of £100m. Who would you suggest? We also don't have anywhere near the money for a star striker and a young understudy.

Kane? Although if you say we can't afford him I'll take your word for it. I assume we would be able to afford him if we sell more of the deadwood.

I’m going to have to disagree, you can get a better centre back who’ll fit into the system and play well for Utd - who though, i don’t know thats what scouting departments are for.

He’s one of those players who’ll look brilliant in a weaker team who’ll like to play more defensive be good playing a low block. He’ll gladly clear balls all day that have been lumped up. He‘s out of his depth/not comfortable in a more progressive attacking team as shown under ETH and he just wants him gone. Same with DDG, he doesn’t fit he’s out. Klopp/Pep done the same with their teams. Some players just cannot play the way the big teams in Europe now play the game

Combine that with his high wages with the increase next year with CL, that rules all out the clubs who could afford to pay his wages because they don’t need or want him in anyway shape or form. So the so called big 6 club gone. Newcastle, Brighton, Villa and Brentford are all system style teams, wouldn’t fit in there either. That’s 10 PL teams gone right off the bat. 3 promoted teams, won’t pay that much or pay the wages - plus he’ll see it as too much of a step down. Rest of the PL teams would pay around the same as WHU are offering. Does any one in Europes elite leagues want him? Would he even go?

Where does he go if it’s not WHU or Everton or something on a similar level?

Kane holds all the cards. Levy will accept less if Kane wants to go to Utd over Bayern. Otherwise he leaves on a free, just depends on where he wants to go.

I wouldn't have thought going to Germany is wise move at his age, German is pretty hard to speak as well, could be 2 years before he can speak a decent amount.

I'm a bit surprised that Utd aren't all in on him, fans seem cold on the idea too. Considering all the money you've overspent on transfers, and the one player that pops up that you should overspend on and everyone gets nervy.

he can hardly speak english

Kane doesn't hold the cards, he's not got much career left and he won't want to sit around for a year. He doesn't want to burn his bridges with Spurs fans either.

Of course he does. he's just turned 30, not 35. He doesn't rely on pace as well. He's got 4/5 years of scoring 25/30 goals in the PL. Spurs aren't going to bench him if he doesnt want to go to Bayern, how mental would that be

...where did I say they'd bench him? I said he doesn't want to sit around for a year at Spurs competing for nothing. If he wants out this year then he can only go where Levy wants to sell him.

Key word being sit. I assumed you meant not playing.

If Kane wants to go to UTD and they bid 80m, then Levy has to sell to UTD otherwise he'll lose that 80m.

...how exactly would he lose that 80m? You seem to think Kane can dictate where he goes this year, he can't. He can either go where Levy lets him, or waste a fifth (optimistically) of his top level career wasting it at Spurs.

The scenario is Kane only wants to go to UTD. UTD bid 80m. Daniel Levy has a decision, accept the 80m or allow Kane to leave next year on a free. No?

No he doesn't lmao. That is why he is only dealing with foreign clubs.

Joe Lewis might be different but 1. That was a rumour, not a direct quote and 2. He isn't in charge at Spurs.

Why the lmao? Tbh, it's more outrageous that you think Levy doesn't care about 80m in the bank, the equivalent of qualifying for the Champions League, where there is no guarantee even with Kane that they do qualify this year.

Because you haven't been paying attention to any reporting at all this summer if you think he'd accept an 80m bid from an English club. You're living in fantasy land.
