Sorry to disappoint you but there's a quite simple and boring reason behind it. Mark's just a numpty who managed to lock himself out of his old account and created a new one. We helped him get his old account back now so banned the new one - one mark1989 is enough, we don't need two of them posting wild twitter rumours all summer.

IF you believe the Daily Record (which is unlikely in itself), Southampton have now decided that they want 60m for Lavia. If thats actually true then they can jog on, I wasnt all that sold on Lavia for 40, nevermind 50 but if Southampton have now decided to push it up to 60 then I hope we walk away and go elsewhere.

He was our standout player at the WC, always played solid, very good signing for City.

The trouble is city take a huge chunk of the fee so for saints to see a sensible profit on him they need to maximise the money. No way he is playing for us in the championship he is far to good so expect a late in the window deal in the high 40’s or low 50’s which for the player he might well turn out to be is a bargain!
I honestly feel that we will walk away from a deal for Lavia, I just cant see us going to 50 for him and will turn our attention to other choices instead. If Andre is 22m and Gravenberch can be picked up for 25m, then I could see us opting to buy Andre and Gravenberch for 47m combined instead of just Lavia for 50.

Someone will go high 40’s for him before the window closes I’m sure and I’d say that is a great price for a kid who has already shown he can play in the premier league at such a young age.
I hope so for Lavias sake but I grow increasingly inclined to think its not going to be us at that price.

Obviously it's treasonous to not love Dan Burn and if the Geordie Nayshuns secret police are reading this then I am risking my Mam and Dads house being painted with red and white stripes but to think of him lining up at LB in the Prem and then against the cream of Europe next season is frightening. Ashby going out on loan (according to the papers) with no-one clearly incoming is baffling too given he's had a decent amount of game time pre season. He's 21 so you'd think its time to be part of the squad at least. Leaves us with who? Manquillo, Krath, Dummett and Lascelles as back up who were pretty much deemed not good enough when we were a bottom third side.
