Summer Transfer Window 23/24

Spurs are silly to sell. Kane is their only chance in hell of getting top 4 this season and that is worth more than the 80 million for him. He is top 3 striker in the world at the moment. Without Kane Spurs will be bottom half table this season.

If Chelsea, Arsenal or United could get him they would be challenging for a title.

Shame we never got to see him in a real big team. A bit like Shearer.
Spurs should have sold him to United for £100m

Do you honestly hand on heart believe spurs have a chance of top 4 this season, looking at the other squads in the EPL?

You said this in March...!

they will be nowhere near top 4 even with kane they need to take the money

Lavia's been left out of Southampton's starting line-up tonight. It doesn't seem like any agreement is imminent for him but I guess it'll get done sooner or later.

Not but it is their only chance to get anywhere close with Kane in the squad. Especially playing no Europe. If they sold Kane they wouldn't have time to even get anything close replacing with anyway.

Financially it doesn't effect them either as Kane cost them nothing.

I think 4th place (behind City, Man U and Arsenal) is going to be Villa, if I am going to bet on it.

Chelsea has far too many new signings to be cohesive in their 1st season together, I don’t see Newcastle can sustain the same momentum (gut feeling), Spurs don’t have the personnel to play in the style Postecoglou likes to play. Not sure Brighton can take the next step up yet either.

Writing off Liverpool? I still think they'll sign a few more midfielderds and be up there

Don’t often post in here but I think United have done good business this window and have learnt from the mistakes of the past. On paper Kane should be a no brainer but after Sanchez I think we’re rightly cautious about signing players for big money in their later years. Hojlund looks an interesting player and has time on his side, plus if he doesn’t work out we should be able to recoup a good chunk of our outlay given his age.

I forgot about Liverpool lol

Erm…i guess they could challenge for 4th with Villa. I still think Liverpool’s midfield problems from last season isn’t solved yet and they have no cover for TAA for right back, especially if he comes in as pivot in the middle. We’ll see.

Bradley and Gomez are cover at rb.

Sounds like we’re getting Kudus from Ajax, what on earth is De Zerbi cooking?!

Mitoma, Pedro, Kudus, Ferguson, Adingra, March, Enciso, Gross, Buonanotte, Welbeck.

Gonna be a different attack each game, nightmare for FPL!

Too tight? It was not that long ago they were lauded as being amazingly well run and best run club in the league. They have hardly been tight, with the funds available to clubs like Liverpool in comparison to Chelsea and City a rebuilding period over a number of years is to be expected. I’d be careful what you wish for.

Owners are too tight. We've lost 6 players and bought 2.
Naby and Ox could never be relied upon, no loss there - Would have loved to kept Bobby, but given how many forwards we have it was inevitable we had to lose one of them, and it looks as if Doak is the guy to step up and replace him in the forward line. Hendo/Fab and Milly were the other 3 and always the brunt of the top reds that roam around twitter. Seems Klopp sanctioned the deal for Fabinho with his blessing, the only one he was surprised at is Hendo.

If you look at the midfield options last season:
Henderson
Fabinho
Milner
Ox
Naby
Thiago
Jones
Bajetic
Elliott

Compared to what we have currently:
Mac Allister
Solazabel
Thiago
Jones
Bajetic
Elliott

I think we'll get one more in this window (Lavia), with another in January (hoping it's Andre myself as I'm sold on him after watching numerous clips of him the past month or so ). Given the Henderson rumour about being told he would be given less playing time this season that would indicate he'd be a sub option, are we really massively weaker in midfield compared to last season? maybe options off the bench but they were hardly game changing options imo.

We know we were looking at Colwill, it would seem that it was that option or no one as there are still no solid links to a CB, whether we actually make a move next window is up in the air (if at all), I think Quansah will be making the step up to the 1st team squad this season, with Matip going on a free next year and we'll look at a Robbo replacement then too.
I think we will be 5th again.
If the squad stays fit, we're challenging, same sort of injuries that have plagued us the last few years and it's CL spots for me.

Edit: forgot Elliott
