Summer Transfer Window 23/24

Kane won't go... Despite the clubs agreeing a deal.

I still think United will make a last minute offer despite the signing of Højlund

I disagree.

I feel he will go, I can't believe Bayen kept bidding if they don't know through some intermediary that he is open to the move. They must know that on the personal terms level they have a good chance of signing up if they can agree on the price. This isn't like the Saudi bidding out of the blue for Mbappe, Bayen has been chasing Kane all summer so they must know more than it appears.

And United isn't going to make any last minute bids, not when they could get him for free in a year, especially after all the spending already.

He will and they won't. Clubs don't get to the stage of making multiple offers to the tune of £100m and then turn around to the player and say "how about it?"

They will have agreed almost everything with Kane before this point. Hes going if Spurs agree.

Levy also won't sell to United.

Weird this "levy wont sell to Man U" stuff. Without Kane propping them up Spurs are going to struggle against anyone I would imagine, not just United.

People are saying United because

1 - United needs a striker this summer
2 - Spurs are hardly going to sell to Arsenal plus they have Jesus, and have other strikers
3 - Man City has Haaland & Alvarez
4 - Chelsea bought Jackson and spent way too much and trying to balance the books
5 - Newcastle has Wilson
6 - Liverpool has Nunez

Not many teams really has the finances to get Kane, or are attractive prospect enough to attract Kane.

Levy just doesn't want to sell to any of the rivals, not just United, but people say United in a sentence because they need a Striker and has the finances to make it happen. It's not weird at all. Even if Luton makes a £120mil offer, and Levy agrees to a sale, not sure Kane will go there. No disrespect to Luton!

These Kane articles are worded as though he’s still leaning towards staying. Although that is prior to a deal being struck.

But Bayern have made the effort now, surely they wouldn’t have done that without cast iron assurances he would join?

An interesting few hours ahead.

Think the point of my post passed you by.

Without Kane - not selling him to a rival isnt really going to help Spurs that much - they will have bigger problems to worry about than a United with or without Kane.

I didn't miss your point, i understood your point, but Levy is a very stubborn guy with weird principles at times it seems, if he doesn't want to sell to his rivals, even if in reality....Spurs isn't really a challenger for the the title...so Man City isn't exactly their rivals in league positions, then he isn't going to sell it to any PL teams.

If he can't have Kane in his team, then no one else in the PL can have him, at least for the next season or two. But he is also stubborn enough to stick to his price tag he has on Kane.

The point about why people use United in the sentence....I broke it down for you. Using Arsenal in the sentence doesn't make sense, because they have Jesus, using City in the sentence doesn't make sense, because they have Haaland, using...etc etc etc.

Real Madrid are considering De gea after Courtois has done his ACL
Not a bad option for them. Still one of the best shot stoppers out there. Save him from going to Saudi

Its not that simple.

1. Spurs sell to United or any other "rival" and Spurs miss CL and that other team gets it. Its because they sold Kane. Bad optics
2. Selling your star player to a rival is never a popular move with fans. Bad optics.
3. Selling your start player to a rival when a team from abroad offered largely the same money. Bad optics.

All of these things don't really care about the reality of the situation, they are all about appearances and managing fan reaction. Selling Kane is unlikely to be popular and a bad season will be blamed on it. If he goes to another PL team and they do well it will be much worse.

Bayern got owned last season by City. They are miles behind their 2020 days.

So did Arsenal home and away last year in the league and they came runners up in the PL. Bayern could get to the final again and not have to go anywhere near City in the CL. It's not like they have a rich history of getting to the final and winning it. They have lost to worse teams than Bayern. I don't think City will be anything like as strong as last year, they have lost too many valuable consistent players and players that chipped in at important times. They now have to bed players in again. If they start slowly again I wouldn't have half as much faith on them running teams down.

PSG are getting absolutely shafted by Mbappe

Kinda love the saga though. It's their own making as they gave him all the power by only doing a 2 year contract and gave him the power for the extension and not themselves.

They need to stick to their guns now and bench him for the season.
