Hes been shafting them from day 1. Entirely of their own making though so I have less than 0 sympathy. They grovelled to get him to sign a new contract and now, unsurprisingly he has just as much power and is taking them to the cleaners again.

It’s a bit of a sad situation though, having a player the quality of Mbappe be happy enough to miss an entire season in his career.
I wonder what Deschamps will think of it. He‘ll be going into the euros with Mbappe having played barely any competitive football in a year.
Perfect captain for Southgate and spurs.
His mistake was signing his last contract with what seems like a very tenuous verbal agreement that they would sell him the following summer, right now I think he is doing the right thing he has a choice between spending a final season at Spurs before moving on a free to another premier league club next summer and moving his wife and three young kids to Germany now. I know which one I'd be choosing just to save the ear ache from the misses and kids!

From his perspective now, for the sake of another season, you'd be mad to go abroad if there's even the smallest of doubts about it. He can play a season at Spurs on what is no doubt already decent money and then see who fancies paying him the most money next summer when the choice will be entirely his regards where he goes.
Rumour is the Raya deal isn't yet signed with arsenal and there's time for Real to sneak in.
Courtois has done his ACL. Has De Gea got a club yet?
Edit: just seen this question already asked. Ignore. Still, a no brainer for Madrid, surely De Gea would love to finish his career there rather than USA/Saudi.

He could sign for Arsenal or Chelsea next summer and not even need to move house or the kids schools whilst doubling his money and increasing his chance of medals massively.

Great move for him at the end of his career and total no brainer for Madrid with the injury he must be relieved he didn't pull the trigger on a Saudi retirement plan!
Surprised they are going for DDG. As far as I know hes a bit of a figure of ridicule over there and something like 4th choice national team keeper. I know that its a stopgap but still a little surprised. Guess if its a years contract its all good.
