Summer Transfer Window 23/24

That is a mega fee for Caicedo, but that’s football. £100m~ isn’t that unusual now. At least he should be a solid player and slot in well.

Still amazes me how blaise fans have become about fees, 110 million its reportedly cost puts him in the top 4 or 5 most expensive transfers ever

Said it many times but biggest mistake in football was never having a transfer or salary cap imo it’s also far too late to introduce one now too

None of which could be accused of being value for money and in most cases they could be deemed flops. Half of them never ever come close to matching the form that got them the transfer.

Why? Where do you think the massive money in football would go if not in transfer fees and wages. Any league that didn't have a cap would just dominate.

I agree, but football is a mega money business now.

I thought the Mount fee was good to start with, he's a solid player who just had a rough season with Chelsea - but he wasn't alone in that.
 
Klopps just confirmed it this morning. Basically saying we didnt expect some things to happen this summer, I assume Fab and Henderson, so they acted.

Fair enough.
 
Well, I can't quite believe it. Never thought we'd pay over 100m for Caicedo! If we can get the deal over the line, it's a quality addition. He's exactly what we need. Don't care what he's costing. Nobody said anything when arsenal paid the same for Rice with 12 months left on his contract.
