Summer Transfer Window 23/24

Never really understood the Cucurella hype tbh, he's probably better than putting Burn there all season though. Burn needs shifting to LCB really. Does Target want out?
Since getting injured Target has been worse than Lewis and that’s saying something lol

Cucurella. Based on last season horrible but so was every Chelsea player lol and can’t really comment on him at Brighton. Just seen him against us and just looked ok even tho he was getting raved about. His workrate is excellent from what I hear. Probably a no go anyways unless the terms are extremely on our side.

That would be hilarious.
Would it ever, you know if they don’t get him every other team’s midfielders now have a starting price of £60m, they have ****** themselves by trying to be clever over Lavia, ******* around instead of coming straight in at £50m. They have got away with tactics like that in the past, but not anymore.

Cucurella had an incredible final season with us before Chelsea came snooping, even got our PotS award. Thankfully we upgraded, but I can’t say I wasn’t annoyed at the time!

I hope there’s still a decent player in there somewhere, he seemed a decent smiley guy. Chelsea were a shambles last season.

Looks like a desperate situation. If they don't get anyone it could be a tough season.

This is simply down to poor planning. Liverpool have an exciting team and top manager, there are plenty of midfielders who would want to join.

Not sure what they are playing at!

Jesus, what has happened to Liverpools recruitment over the past season or 2. I used to watch them operate and wished to **** Man U had even half of their apparent business/transfer strategy acumen. Now it looks like they’ve gone full retard for some reason. (I’ll ‘caveat’ that with the fact I don’t pay massive attention to them so maybe there’s a legitimate reason for their tardiness in addressing a glaring key position for so long?)

Simply put, I think they are a season late? Now the Saudi's have came in it's made it worse.

They lost their DoF at the next end of the 21-22 season.

Liverpool's transfers looked real good the start of the window with Szoboszlai and McAlister signed without much of a fuss due to release clause, but now it has become comical...

We've been caught off guard with Henderson and Fabinho both leaving but ultimately we accepted the bids and should have acted by now. I think we were hesitant on Lavia because of his age and the fact we have Bajcetic who's a similar age but isnt valued anywhere near what Lavia is hence their reluctance to pay the 50 mil Southampton wanted but if you want a player you have to pay the price.

It isnt just Liverpool that will face this issue with Chelsea as Arsenal have found out themselves. They are offering bumper salaries over 8 + years. Thats going to be very appealing to players at the start of their career.

An obsession with buying attacking players rather than addressing the real issue - the 2 we've got this summer so far have helped in that regard but the DM has been known about for a while now and Klopp seemingly doesnt care enough to address it - doesnt look like the club were massively sold on Lavia or they would have bid more earlier (i expect Chelsea would have come in sooner for him if we had one accepted seeing as they've been tracking him for a year plus) Caicedo was an opportunity that presented itself - as to the Dm thing, there's a good solid 5 or 6 that are around or have moved in recent months and yet the club arent looking at them. Baffling from Klopp.

To be fair there wasnt a choice to make. According to Paul Joyce we didnt have an agreement with Southampton anyway.
yeah I read that aswell, seems the 60 million 'accepted bid' was rubbish as no journos close to the club confirmed it
