Summer Transfer Window 23/24

I had a chuckle at this at lunchtime today. How far removed from reality is your average football fan to suggest that an offer including add-ons for 150milkion pounds can't be classed as stupid money!!!!!
Everything is obviously relative. £150m is obviously huge money but to a PL football club turning over £600m and seeing £100m+ transfers for far inferior players, being sold to far poorer clubs, it's little more than the norm.

Kolo Muani who was free last summer just cost PSG 90mil after refusing to train for Frankfurt and he isnt in the same stratosphere as Salah. I dont think people appreciate just how good Salah is nor the impact he would have on that league.

isn't this some sort of ploy to get a cheap player on the books who certifies the home grown thing?

I'd rather see him play than slab head. Though I may be biased as I met Jonny couple of times back in 06/07 and he came across as decent bloke each time. Even in a club in Hale when he was drunk, he let us sit in their reserved area. Both him and O'Shea treated people nicely that night. Same can't be said about Nicky Butt and Keano few months earlier :D

This is such a weird claim to make. Salah has scored 19 or more PL goals in every one of his 6 seasons at Liverpool, and has 10 assists in 4 of those seasons. He's also played at least 34 matches in each of those seasons.

Even ignoring his ability, simply being available that often, and sufficiently in form to command a place in a team a successful as Liverpool have been in that period, is incredible. One bad injury would likely prevent any player from surpassing Salah, even ignoring talent and mentality.

Garnacho is hugely talented, probably as much as if not more so than Salah from a pure footballing perspective, but the likelihood of him surpassing Salah's achievements is tiny, simply because of all of the things that might stand in his way. Completely aside from ability, he'll need a big dose of luck to get close to Salah. And that's not a criticism of him - as I say, he has the talent, but Salah's consistency is unbelievable.

Can't really reply to this as it's not transfer related.
