Summer Transfer Window 23/24

With an inability to shift the deadwood United are stuck with:

Sancho until '26.

Maguire, VdB and McT until '25.

Crazy huh, I guess all will leave on a free eventually.

Quite a few players are entering the last year of their contract including Martial and Bailey.

Think the article I found is an old one so I hope any of the above haven't signed new contracts recently.

If Liverpool were going to sell at all they’d have done it before the window closes. It’s all nonsense and click bait. I can see us selling early next window for about the same as they offered this season and that will give us time to convince Mbappe. He’s about the only player that will be a direct replacement.

250 for salah and then 150 million on saka and a lcb.. sorted :cool:

The fact that Salah himself hasnt said he wants to stay makes me think he plans to go, I think it will boil down more to Liverpool not allowing him to go ....yet. Maybe January.

Suspect he’s been told that if a similar offer comes in next summer they will take it. I suspect Salah has already told the club that out of respect he wouldn’t say anything publicly but would like to go. He will be sold next summer, and likely within a week of the window opening.

Why should he have to respond to every rumour? His agent came out a month or so back and said if he wasn't happy he wouldn't have signed the new contract, then you've got Dom's interview after the game yesterday where he says he's happy and doesn't want to leave. Folks just love a bit of transfer gossip and reading xyz into anything and everything

Agent and Dom are 3rd party, I ask you, what is the harm in the man himself saying "I am happy at Liverpool and I do NOT want to leave at this time"...takes him all of about 20 seconds to say and puts to bed any Saudi bid immediately. I LITERALLY cannot see any negative to him doing that. Only reason I can ever see in a player not saying something categorical like that, is that they are doing what relationship therapists call "Monkey Branching"

When have football players ever done that? You just get into a situation where they'll have to respond to each and every rumour. It's nonsense to expect.

Regardless 200 wouldnt have been enough when the window was open, it sure as **** wont be enough now.

Because footballers dont do it isnt really the point is it though, just because something isnt done by other people that doesnt make it right and to be fair, we're not exactly talking about Salah having to respond to each and every rumour, this is a unique transfer window this year with the Saudi side of things and we're talking a 200m transfer, not just a run of the mill transfer. As I said above, what harm is there in him spending 20 secs to refute any possibility that he wants to leave in this window. None. Zero harm.

Because it would just be meaningless empty words end of the day no different to a player kissing the badge when they score and then moving to a rival.

So what you are saying is that even if Salah himself stated publicly that he doesnt want to leave Liverpool in this transfer window, those would be meaningless empty words?
