Summer Transfer Window 23/24

Seems from the Klopp press conference that Kelleher is staying. Whilst thats great news for us I'm not sure its necessarily the best thing for him, he's too good imo to be stuck playing 10 games a season and should be a number 1 somewhere, he's what...25 next year, Allison is only 31 and likely isnt going anywhere anytime soon

I'm not sure I'd take his comments at face value. It sounded more like a warning to potential buying clubs that he's not going to be cheap.
 
Aye, the only way he moves is if we get a stupid offer for him is how I read between the lines too.

Good to see some of the more silly links are already starting up, saw Barella linked (usual summer links incoming!) As well as Gravenbirch, the 2 Brighton lads, Zielenski (blast from the past that one), Kokcu.. hell ive even seen silly buggers throw Tchouaméni's name back out there :cry:. All in all I pity anyone trying to make head or tails of our transfer business when the window rolls round

Ours won’t be much better. We’ll be linked with everyone and their dog.
 
2 as a minimum, possibly 3. What's going to be interesting is the type of midfielder we go after. The change of system possibly changes the type of player we need. Although he can play in a deeper role too, I reckon Mac Allister and our other midfield targets will be players for the two more advanced midfield roles.

Indeed thought you were after an out and out number 6.

There’s some quality midfielders out there atm outrageous money doesn’t need to be spent.

If you want to to play that Trent inverse role you could do with a fast CB/RB hybrid.

We've got big Ibou for the RCB but I've no doubt that we'll be in for another CB that's comfortable in wider positions.

Re the 6 role, playing with the new system eases the need for an out and out defensive midfielder. Fabinho looks much better again with somebody alongside him, we have Bajcetic coming through and assuming he signs, Mac Allister is very comfortably in a double pivot.

We've always looked to defend from the front of the pitch and getting more energy and physicality into the two number 8s will improve us immeasurably.
 
Seems we are trying to resign Forster if we managed to secure Champion League.

Would help massively for the squad restrictions.

Starting to wonder is Teirney a done deal?

Could very well be the first deal done for the toon and early.

Astute signing and would be the perfect start to the window.

If Tierney to Newcastle is done then I’m convinced there could be some truth in the rumoured Cancelo deal. Can’t see Arteta just being happy with Zinchenko as the only LB.

Potentially Rice and Cancelo in the same window go hard or go home.

This going to be interesting window that’s for sure lol.
