Summer Transfer Window 23/24

Brentford getting our Raya replacement in early - Mark Flekken from Freiburg should be confirmed in the next week or so. Buy early, sell late.

Raya seemingly been told that he can leave if we get a massive bid, but otherwise will play second fiddle next season.

I know you’re jesting, but seriously, I can’t understand people who say this is a bad deal. £60m over 4 years. Could we buy a Saka replacement for that money? Of course not. Plus we would have to add wages to the transfer fee.

Saka is already the 6th most valuable player in the world, £60m over 4 years is decent. I know for a fact the likes of City, Pool, Utd, Chelsea would all pay him that.

Personally, I think he's a quality player. But 300k a week :eek: , before you know it players will be on half Million a week.

Na I want our players to consistently win stuff and /or compete at the highest level with the likes of man city and real Madrid before commanding wages that there players earn..

And that’s where your logic falls down. Players like Saka command the situation. They don’t need to win stuff with Arsenal to get that money. Their ability will see title winning teams pay him what he wants if we dont. Until we actually start winning, we’re on the back foot. City gave Grealish £300k pw from the off when he hadnt won anything. Utd gave Sancho £350k a week.

Could we replace him for £60m? Not a chance. He’s a £110m+ player
