Summer Transfer Window 23/24

im not worried

Declan Rice remains keen to join Arsenal despite Manchester City planning to enter the race to sign the West Ham midfielder. Arsenal’s first two bids for Rice have been rejected, leaving Mikel Arteta at risk of missing out on his top target. City have the financial wherewithal to meet West Ham’s asking price of at least £100m, and it would be hard for the 24-year-old to turn down the chance to play for Pep Guardiola.

Rice spoke to Guardiola towards the end of last season and City are planning for life without Ilkay Gündogan, who has decided to join Barcelona on a free transfer. However, the treble winners are not short of options in central midfield. They are close to signing Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea and have Rodri and Kalvin Phillips to play in central midfield.

Rice would be more likely to start regularly at Arsenal and his preference remains to stay in London. The England international became a father last year and is extremely close to his family. Rice also admires Arteta’s football and Arsenal should not have any problems when it comes to personal terms.

That’s all well and good, but City wouldn’t make a move unless Rice had agreed to be open to a move there.

It’s also dependent on us matching or beating City’s bid, which we just can’t do. We are also useless at negotiations for big money players. The worst in the world. Look at Mudryk for example.

and we ended up with trossard a better deal ;)

Watched that France under 21 match last night for various reasons. Main reason being Tonali.

Every single Set-piece he took was a threat with one assist and should have been 2. Loves to cross from deep.

He’s also covers a lot of ground, strong and a lot quicker than I thought. I can see why they are saying it’s Howe’s top target from the options he’s been giving.

That French team is mental. Thuram and Kone seem fantastic also but very very raw. They would be fantastic signings. Looks like Liverpool have their pick.

The heat last night was also sweltering. Tonali and Kone(I think)lasted the full 90 and never stopped. Thuram got subbed but still looked grand. The trio have legs.

France outclassed Italy but Italy were completely robbed lol. Clear penalty’s not given and the had the ball over the line by a country mile. No Var or goal line tech.

A lot of other players were on show that PL clubs really should be showing an interest in.

God are we going to have updates on every u21 match that Tonali is involved in now as bigpig knows nothing about the player apart from the occasional heatmap (2015 called by the way)?
