Summer Transfer Window 23/24

hmm Window is only really open and Manu, Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle have all hit their main transfer target and City will probably get theirs in Gvardiol. No long drawn out process over the entire window. Clubs have came out of the traps fast and hard.
Do you think it will be the biggest transfer window yet?

Depends what you mean by biggest? Money spent will always be on an upwards trajectory due to the ever inflating prices due to TV deals and sponsorships (as well as the new Saudi impact).

Biggest in terms of most notable signings... Doesn't feel that way, there's not huge names moving around.

Amount of signings... potentially, United may make 3 important signings, Liverpool are making a few, Arsenal certainly have. Chelsea will make a couple. City seems a little vague at the moment.

Imagine Utd getting a striker will come down to the last day. Then we’ll get an old man with butter on his boots.

United haven't got their main transfer targets at all. Mount was someone we wanted but probably lowest on the list. GK and CF are both massively more important.

Probably not the biggest window, but it does feel like an important one for virtually all the traditional big clubs.

First major outgoing, probably would've been better to keep him for one last season to help the transition but I guess the money and family reasons swayed it.

We can’t sell Partey as well without a replacement, we’ll still be short.

Feels to me as though last season you had Xhaka and (when fit) ESR for that role, and this season you'll have Havertz and ESR? Obviously you'd ideally get another, but I don't think it's essential for you
Yeah ESR does seem perfect for that role just can't stay fit. Hopefully Partey hangs about or we'll defo need another centre mid.

Sounds like the Onana deal will most likely get done and we've made a formal bid for Højlund (£50m).

If we ended up with those two, plus Mount, I'd be pretty happy. Højlund is obviously a big gamble but there is a severe lack of top level strikers.

Why aren't you going for Kane? Seems like a perfect player for ETH in that deep lying/false nine position.

Levy doesn't want to sell to a PL team
Levy won't want to sell him to us, it would cost an insane amount. It's just too complicated.

Yeah i have heard that but Kane goes for free next year. I don't think Levy is that stupid as to not take 90m now just because its PL team, must be a bit of playing chicken going on with that.
