I hate being a Championship club sometimes, really promising young centre half (Ash Philips) going to Spurs for £3million :(

Hendo has been left out of our squad for our first friendly. We should hear from Klopp pre game but it looks like he'll be joining Fab in Saudi.

We needed a midfield rebuild but I didn't expect to change everyone of them.
 
I actually googled Fabinho the other day to see what team he was heading to.

Was shocked to find out he’s only 29!!

Thought he was 34 the way he’s was getting about the pitch last season!
 
The echo reporting a fee of £12m + add-ons (no idea how much) has been agreed. It would have been nice to squeeze a bit more out of the Saudi's but any sort of fee for a 33 year old that's probably not going to play a huge amount and is earning £200k per week is decent.

As I said the other day, it's a sad state of affairs that any footballer wants to go over there but with the numbers being offered to these players it's easy to see why they're being tempted. From our point of view, although not ideal, I don't think we're going to be too upset at getting £50-60m for Hendo and Fab given than both needed replacing within 12 months if not right away already.

Now who do we bring in? I guess the main signing is going to be somebody like a Lavia who the club have big hopes for long term, I just hope we also look at somebody that's a bit more of a Steady Eddy so we're not too reliant on a youngster from day one.

I don't think it gets this far without him making the move but who knows.

Phillips and Amrabat have seemingly been dismissed already. If I had to guess then I think it'll be Lavia + one more but I'm not convinced that one will be a pure 6. I think they'll want somebody similar to Hendo in the sense that he can play 6 but is more of an 8.

I see the latest name from the Liverpool twitterverse is Cheick Doucoure. I still personally like Sangare and that little brazilian fella from fluminense :)
 
I can't say I noticed much of Doucoure last season but his name does seem to be doing the rounds. Sangare might be an option if the club go for 2 out and out DM's. I'm not sure he's good enough short term or long term to be the only one.
