Summer Transfer Window 26/27

You need to be getting £80+ for Bruno if he is leaving. Hes a top player and super important to you. You can't lose this many of your key players without rinsing teams for them. Losing two of your core and best midfielders in one window could be a disaster.
I think it will be a disaster, you can’t sell your 4 best players in 12 months and expect not be in the ****.

Oh I agree but if hes going then you have to get big money for him.

The issue Newcastle have is that they are in the grey zone between the top teams and the smaller teams. The top teams don't sell their players unless they want to usually and the small sides can bank £100m on a player without their fanbase screaming for a like for like signing. We saw last summer that Newcastle spent a lot of money on Woltemade to replace Isak and unsurprisingly it didn't really work.

Newcastle have to decide what they are trying to do or if they just don't have that ambition.

I don’t think it’s lack of ambition, the financial restrictions are what’s hurting us, we can’t pay what these players want because of the financial restrictions placed on those other than the established 6.

Goldbridge, really? The man makes his living griping about United. Of course he’s going to moan to get engagement.

It could be a very astute signing. I thought everyone here wanted a reset and not splurging huge money on players and get a decent scouting team together to pick up potential players, like Santos? He seems like he has potential, but as Shami says, he’s not getting ahead of their two star players.

Not directed at you, Calpol, but I’d like to see how Carrick gets him working before dismissing him without a minute played in a Utd shirt.
Our objective is to win the league in 2028 how many teams buying players with potential in critical positions have won the league?

To me, this purchase only makes sense if they have a bigger profile/quality player lined up also.

I think everyone has a right to moan. Goldy isn't the only one moaning.

Is that the issue though. You've got a bunch of good players but you are, I would say, inarguably underachieving with that squad. 12th place doesn't get you any European football and suddenly more of your top players are looking for the exit. If you were in the CL or even EL next season, would that still be the case? I don't know. Theres only so long these top players will wait when you're underperforming and CL sides are sniffing around.

Similar thoughts....

Not sure about the signing to be honest, however looking positively at it. He's 22, has 30 premier league games so not just arriving from Spain or Brazil etc... We've potentially got 2 players for under 90 million - Anderson has looked very underwhelming at World Cup for me despite a good season at Forest.

I think overall, wait and see. United can't/won't fall back into the trap of paying £100 million for a single player, it's just not going to happen after some of the recent disasters.

Got to give him a chance at least. Still think we need another proper striker as Sesko is the only proper out and out forward.

Still waiting to see what they do with Rashford post World Cup - I think that is one of the biggest things they need to sort.
Hope we see the back of Rashford, I wish him the best but he's still the same player, good at running into nowhere with no end product. With a goal every now and then.

I honestly think thats a good signing for the price, really would have liked to have seen Liverpool move for him, £50m, so it would have been quite palatable to me as a replacement for Jones or Mac Allister
They probably will, it’s not done yet and if this window tells us anything it’s, we’re ripe for another rugpull.

Doesn’t look like Tchouameni is going to leave Madrid, probably touted by his agent so he got a better contract, but the player who’s holding that position for France, Kone, he looks to a be really good alternative.
