Summers here! temps up, what cooler?

since its started getting warmer my idle and load temps have obviously increased.

im currently using a scythe ninja for my q6600 but its not really up to the job imo. whats a good air cooler i can get.

temps ive currently got is about 40c idle and 60c at load

tbh im not sure what is ok for a q6600. with my previous cpus 60c+ was dodgy ground.

wont bother with water on this rig. ive hit a brickwall with my oc. need a better mobo.

Those temps are fine, 70 is what I will let a processor go up to personally - seem to remember they start throttling at 80 though don't quote me on that.
There seems to be a trend of everyone saying temps over 45 are too hot... (not just on this forum in general)

What software are you using?
Your temps look fine for full load, I tend to keep below 75c ~.

Q6600 is not going to flinch at 70. It's unlikely to flinch at 80. 65nm is nails

Q6600 is perfectly happy at 60, and you've got plenty of headroom for even the hottest days of summer. Don't worry about it :-)
