Sumvision cyclone

I'm in the market for a network media streaming device and the Sumvision cyclone mkv seems very good value for money. Does anyone here have any experience of it?

Friend has one and it seems fine. However, he bought it before the Western Digital box came out and I think he would prefer to have one of them tbh

Personally I'd not go near as when I worked in a competitors returns department I saw hundreds which had burned hard drives, and many which had dodgy power supplies.

what power supply do they use? does it just supply 5v as i can easily use my own higher quality psu if i need to.

I bought my mum one, it works good, plays everything and is simple to use.

Its a bit noisy though.

mine was a bit noisy but i replaced the cheapo fan inside for a silent one and it makes next to no noise now very happy.

i've got one and very happy with it, plays everything i've thrown at it so far, managed to find a usb wifi dongle that works with it aswell so i just stream stuff from my media server, which means i have no hdd installed in it and have unplugged the fan (although wasn't really that noisey tbh)

i havent tried one, but i do have a wdtv hd live and thats a nice bit of kit for under a £100.
