Hi

We have a Sun Microsystems server cabinet but standard bolts don't fit it as they are too large. Does anyone know what size bolts they use?

The bolt holes are threaded and look like THIS

They are normally screws rather than bolts on the Sun cabinets.
Not sure what size they are as I usually used the supplied screws when installing new kit.

One word of advice though, the screws are normally really soft and damage easily so take it easy with them

After some Googling I have found that they are 10-32 size screws.

I wonder if there is a M? size bolt equivalent.

Smaller. They are the top ones HERE

It looks like 10-32 is equivalent to M5 according to a metric conversion chart.

Thanks

If you can get 10-32 size screws, do. M5's are obviously much easier to get hold of, but in my experience you'll have much more problems with screws getting stuck etc if you don't use the right size.
