I'm ginger.

Naturally I hate the sun.
The sun burns my skin.
I go red.
I blister.
I hate the sun.

However I need to be outdoors, otherwise I'm going to end up living like a vampire for the next few months.

So I need some suncream.

Now suncream, I hate this aswell, it's greasy and nasty and just makes me feel like a sweaty tramp.

I suffer from mild acne and dryish skin and got hot fast.
Anyone got any suncream reccomendations?

Cheers :)

(Sorry about a "spec me" thread, however this is also a serious issue with the amount of skin cancer cases rising all the time)

This is what i use (I am a 'fair skinned english rose type')

Asdas own brand...
the only one i've found this year with 5* UVA protection (the spf number only recognises UVB protection)
i use spf 30 on my body
and for the face:
Simple Sun - F30 Face Protector
Anti-Irritant, Oil Free, Photostable, 100% perfume and colour free
it's not greasy and it's great for sensitive skin
I used their body sun-cream last year too, would reccommend that too, for me the Asda one won this year because I am V. poor :)

Sounds a bit odd but could you not get a sunblock designed for childrens skin as they quite often have the highest protection level.
You could always go into a chemists and ask for some advice, the pharmacist might be able to recommend one.

considered mustard?
Was waiting for that one.

However being allergic to mustard, it would be silly to smear it on my face.

Besides I have enough of a beard already so don't need any more hair growth no matter how much sun protection it gives.

Doesn't seem to be working at the moment, but try boots.com (as in the chemist)
You can fill in a suncare selector online, and it will let you know what you need for your skin type etc.
