Just wondering if anyone else bought something yesterday and used Sunday delivery. If you did, has it turned up? Just wondering whether it will turn up or if it's now time to drown my sorrows as it's showing as still being in Stoke at the moment.

Not received the usual text message/email with a timeslot from DPD, only the generic "It will be delivered on the 24th" at just at 3pm yesterday.

Would just be good to know if anyone else got their orders :)

EDIT: For info, I know that if I have an issue I should raise it via the Customer Service section, just trying to get an idea as to whether anyone else has had their deliveries already.

If its still in stoke theres a high chance of no. DPD Has not been very good this christmas period, iv had 3 late deliveries from them already and amazon has also been flooding them with parcels they can't handle right now

Yeah, DPD delivery has been real bad, and even in the depot for pick-up, some people had been waiting in excess of 2/2 and a bit hours!:eek:

The DPD guy who delivers to me told me that every year they have managed but this year they had no chance. Not enough staff, to many deliveries and not a hope in hell of doing them all. He even said that all the people who had been rude to him through out the year he said the stuff they had stayed at the depot lol. I got mine so always be nice people.

No knock at the door yet so looks like it will be after Christmas, sods law that you get hardware failure during a busy period :( Ah well, time for another beer :)

That doesn't sound like a fun way to start Christmas!

Looks like he calmed down a bit after he spent some time thinking about it though. No point in getting angry at something you can't change. I'm sure it can be very frustrating but making yourself angry/stressed won't help anyone.

It does look like they have struggled massively this year. Thankfully the DPD driver here doesn't seem to hate me (other packages did turn up this week). :D

I ordered the 8700k on Friday expecting it to arrive on the 27th but DPD keep insisting to deliver things early to me, they tried to deliver on the 24th but with no one home I had to push it to the 27th.

DPD deliver to me on Saturdays and Sundays at no extra charge even if the item states Monday to Friday.

With the DPD app I can't fault them.

DPD for me this year have been appalling. Of the 5 delivers I remember, 3 have failed to arrive, some taking more than a couple of days to arrive past when expected, my Secret Santa late due to driver not getting out of his truck. Sadly good brands are let down by bad delivery partners, not much they can do to fix that other than change to another who will also let them down at some point.

Not from OcUK but DPD have taken a real nose dive around here too. Used to be pleased when they were delivering a package now I'm just wondering if it will show up at all! Twice now they've delivered the next street along from me but to the correct number but it has a completely different postcode! :s

Hermes have been good, bought something unrelated to Xmas on Tuesday night 19th on eBay with an estimated delivery of Thurs 28th but it actually arrived on Sat 23rd. Winner.

This year is the first time DPD have let us down at all, my brother got a message saying a package would be delivered, it wasn't (he got a "you were not in" message with a picture of a road we didn't recognise full of traffic), then it was going to deliver the next day but didn't
It arrived on day three.

I don't think we're on bad terms with the driver, given we take in parcels for neighbours all the time:) (every regular delivery driver for the street seems to know we always have someone in and will accept packages).

They definitely seemed to be snowed under this year.
