sunday morning music ?

I definitely have some music I class as Sunday music :) I can only think of a couple at the moment though...

Faith No More - Easy
Belle & Sebastian - Boy with the Arab Strap

Sunday mornings are normally spent feet up, cup of tea, good book & either Magic FM or one of my Motown or 80's CD's on

Fave tunes to start me off though are...

Smokey Robinson - Tracks of my Tears
Jimmy Ruffin - What Becomes of the Broken Hearted
Four Tops - Same Old Song
Marvin Gaye - Heard it through the Grape Vine
Cutting Crew - Died in your Arms
Specials - Ghost Town
Duran Duran - Wildboys
Toto - Africa

I love my easy Sunday's
Just wish they didnt go so fast :(:(

I have some Bob Dylan on right now.

you'll be looking for the button with a square on it, alternatively a wine bottle full of petrol with a petrol-soaked flaming rag hanging out of the top ;)

i dont really have any specific sunday morning music, but my chillout music is mostly MOBO now, to be honest. talking soul, hip hop, blues, jazz...Tyrone and Miles Davis, The Pharcyde, DJ Format, John Lee Hooker, Chris Thomas King, that sort of thing.

I honestly don't get the question.
Are some people saying that the music you play on a sunday morning is different than what you'd play on a saturday night?
That doesn't compute.

It makes sense for me. On saturday night i might listen to music that gets me really going for a night out. On the sunday i might be suffering from the worlds worst hangover and i'll listen to music that is a bit easier on the ear.

I'll slap one of three albums on (all pretty obvious choices which i'm suprised haven't been suggested..);

  • Massive Attack - Mezzanine
  • Air - Talkie Walkie
  • Zero 7 - When It Falls

Ahhhhh, i can feel my headache going just thinking about the above.

On a sunday morning you are (supposedly by british popular culture) nursing a bad hangover from a night of clubbing. Therefore you need chilled out feelgood music to bring you out of bed and get that fryup made.

Sunday Morning Call - Oasis

I play whatever I feel like really, some mornings it Rock, sometimes it's electronic and so on. I can't stand Lionel Ritchie so Easy isn't in my playlists! :p
