So, whilst trying to find where my i5 750 stops clocking, I get to the stage when Windows decides not to boot, bringing up a screen stating that such and such a file is missing/damaged....all system-type files.....one step below in the OC, works fine, nice temps etc., but raise a little and this happens.
So, my question is what part of the OCing process is likely the weak link here ? Don't believe it is more CPU volts, RAM is locked @ XMP speed/volts....so perhaps that leaves 'other' CPU volts, like IMC ? or skew ? or or or.....any ideas ?
TIA
EDIT : Oh, and dropping settings back to lower speed means Windows boots just fine instantly
