Bit of an odd one here, does anyone know if http://www.sunglassesuk.com is genuine?

I'm looking for a pair of (no abuse please) Ray-Ban RB2140 Original Wayfarers and this website is stupidly cheap. With the 'first order' 10% off voucher it works out at £71, pretty much £20-30 cheaper than other retailers.

Anyone bought from this site before?

Thanks

I don't trust any e-tailer that doesn't have full details of their address and contact landline numbers on their website. But that's just me.

Can i ask why you think it wouldn't be genuine?.

You pay your money, you takes your chance if you think it's a dud. Or go elsewhere.

Personally, looks fine to me...

They were fine when I ordered from them but it was about a decade ago.

I ordered two pairs and they were great.

Looks fine to me. I envy any person that can order sunglasses without trying them on. I have a wonky head.

They're much cheaper than other 'authorised' Ray-Ban retailers. Most recommendations are pointing towards http://www.sunglasses-shop.co.uk/, who charge £102 for the same pair.

Just a bit skeptical as things that seem too good to be true, usually are.

Looks legit to me:

I would say they are legit - despite having only a PO box on the website, the whois also shows the address at Southport - but more importantly the address is for an opticians at called David Myers http://www.davidhmyers.com/southport-01704-546363/ and the admin contact for the domain name is also David Myers.

^^^ solid answer

(also, in general, if you're ordering using a credit card then you take it up with the card company should they not deliver)

I use David Myers as my local opticians so I can confirm they are legit as a company. Wouldn't necessarily say they are cheap though so am surprised to see them associated with a discount sunglasses site. Might have to have a look-see :)

Here we go... OcUK challenge.

Can you find the following pair of sunglasses cheaper than £71.55:

Ray-Ban RB2140 BLACK Outsider Original Wayfarer
Medium (50mm)
901 Black Colour

:)

Use eyewearbrands.com

Brilliant company, I bought my current eye glasses and prescrip sunglasses from them this year.

Bear in mind that if you find them cheaper than eyewearbrands you have to question whether the lenses are essilor or not? Eyewearbrands include them as standard hence the price difference sometimes.

Some shoddy internet eye glasses retailers don't make you aware of this so you're essentially buying inferior products thinking that you're getting a bargain.
