Anyone got one?

I have a really cheap crap version that I bought of someone from work like 15 years ago, the light is crap and its got an FM radio with crap reception and the Mrs thinks a proper one would make a good crimbo present.

I would ideally like one with a DAB radio so that the radio acts as an alarm when the light gets to 100% - but looking around it seems these are REALLY expensive, the only one I could find like that was Amazon/John Lewis for a Lumie one at £230.

I've got a lumie one that is light + alarm. I just use the light function, works well. Was about 80 quid I think. Way over priced imo for what it is, which appears to be a bulb and a dimmer switch controlled via a timer.

Save money by having a seperate radio alarm? Or just use your phone for the audio part of the process?

Can also get any smart light bulb, set a schedule in Google/Alexa/it's app/home assistant to set it to 10% brightness, then 20% etc. Probably too much of a pita if you're changing times often.

Yup cheers I am going to give up on the idea of trying to have a radio on it.

I use the smart bulb option. It starts up 30 minutes before my alarm goes off, as long as the sun is below the horizon, and gradually gets brighter over the 30 minutes until my alarm goes off.

I’ve got that and I only use it during the winter. Hasn’t missed a beat since I got it. I don’t know if I’d replace it now. I’d probably just go the philips hue bulb route.
