A couple of shots taken a couple of weeks ago. Ardrossan on the west coast of Scotland. The Isle of Arran can be seen in the distance..

The colours in 2 are fab, however the more you look at 1 the better it gets and the more you see, absolutly fantastic

What lens are you using? Any filters?

Sigma 10-20. I used a Lee 3 stop soft ND grad as well.

What kit/settings were used for that shot?

D50, Sigma 10-20, 1/80 @ f5.6 for the first and 0.8s @ f14 for the second. (full exifs are included with the files)

Arran is on the left in the first one. Isle of Cumbrae is below setting sun. Just a bit too far down the coast to see Bute, I think.

It's not HDR, but it has been altered. The foreground was lightened with levels in CS2 and the sky was darkened slightly with levels as well. Very slight shadows/highlights & some USM once reduced to web size and thats it.

but number 1 is in another league imho. Fantastic. Get it printed!!

I had actually printed out no2 as a 16x12 with last weeks photobox offer. The first shot I only really stumbled upon going through some old shots and playing around with them.
