Sunshine

Bought, and watched it, tonight!

Not bad at all! Not the best by a long shot, but a damn good sci-fi film that deserves to be in anyone's collection!
 
The stalker/slasher towards the end does let it down a tad- but the last 5 minutes makes up for it for me.

Overall a really good film- one of those I've watched at home and thought "Wish I'd taken the time to see that at the cinema!"

Great sound and soundtrack too :cool:
 
was ok untill the stupid cam work on all the bad guy scenes at the end which made it nearly unwatachable at times especially during the fighting at the end.
 
I watched this on blu-ray on Friday, I hadn't seen it since the cinema.
Its such a brilliant film!

Originally I was not a fan of the end section of the film, but when I watched it this time it all just fitted in. I think I listened to more what the bad guy said than what he actually did.

Now onto the best part, the soundtrack. The whole thing is just a masterpiece, each score is perfect for what is happening on screen.
 
Was considably better than I was expecting, I was imaging something as 'orrible as "Core", turned out to be a decent watch.

My only gripe with the film is that I feel Boyle copped out a little at the end. Instead of sticking with the atmospheric feel of the film, he branched out onto the clichéd and tired twist. For example, I would've loved to have seen a deeper exploration of the fascination and relationship with man and the sun; notice the awe when they watch it.

That said, Boyle still pulled it off wonderfully. I just felt like he sold out a little; the film was so nearly total perfection.

Totaly agree, there was a quite aduible "eugh" from me when I found out the ending was simply..

*spoiler*

Some dude went nuts because of some crazy future religeone and sabotaged everything.
 
Loved this film when I got it. I didn't know what to expect, but it is certainly up there with my favourite films. Agree about the last bit thought.
