Just borrowed my dads old crt, as i've started playing supcom, can i set it as a clone desktop and leave it off while im doing things that aren't sup com or does it have to be stretched and would i have to disable it when i wanted to play css etc?

Supcom configures the screen on its own.
Just have your setup as a dual screen like it will be by default, with your windows desktop accross both screens etc.
In css it will just open up on the primary screen.
In supcom, you go into the menu, display options, and set the secondary screen

you can do this in world in conflict as well, just to let ya know.

Depends on your graphics card, but your gfx control panel should allow you to setup dualview, both screens act independently. After doing that you can configure supcom from ingame, and other games will just open on primary screen.
