Supcom crashes during an online game??

Ok I have a friend who can start playing/hosting but like 5+ mins in will just crash out. He has been running supcom fine and then like 3 days ago it started doing this.

Now he has the latest video drivers (card is an ATI x600) so i don't think its them. But he only has 1gb of ram but this can't be the issue. Anyway to solve this?

Cpu overheating maybe ??

Has he overclocked? If i play CSS without turning my CPU fan up my pc crashes within about 5-10 mins.
