Finally, we are happy to introduce the Leadex II range of Super Flower power supplies. Available initially in Black between 650W - 1200W, these bring a multitude of improvements over their predecessors, such as: -

- Improved 230V EU 80+ Gold efficiency ratings, offering up to 92% efficiency at optimum load (50%)
- Improved internal design with LLC resonance conversion & DC-DC down-conversion technology
- More compact size: The 650W - 1000W models are all 165mm in length, with the 1200W being 180mm, all less than the 200mm chassis used on most of the Leadex series.
- 7 Year warranty, bringing Super Flower more in line with what the competition offers.
- Improved fan with lower noise levels and longer rated lifetime

But most importantly...

YOU CAN TURN OFF THE LED LIGHTS!!!

That's right, finally there is an on/off switch for the LED lighting on the modular connectors. Probably the most requested feature for the revision is on there! I know Pastymuncher for one will be rejoicing :)

There is also the cost. Pre-Brexit, these would have come in slightly cheaper than the original Leadex series, as is stands they are slightly more expensive than the Leadex with the current exchange rates, although we are working on a solution to make RRP reductions at some point in 2017 (providing the exchange rate doesn't go even further down the pan)

The prices aren't that bad really, especially as you are getting a top quality psu. Nice to see they have increased the warranty length to 7 years as well although 10 years would have been better to bring them into line with EVGA's versions.

Chug, do you know if the Platinum and Titanium versions also switching to the Leadex II platform? You would assume that they will sooner rather than later.

That is the plan eventually, beginning with the Gold :)

Just a small thing, but the 'Leadex II Gold' logos are the wrong way up if you are going to have the PSU facing fan downwards.

In a windowed case with the PSU on display, it would really,really annoy me.

I was going to say the same, though I wouldn't call it a small thing. Its quite a major oversight given that the only way that side of the PSU will ordinarily be seen is when it is that way up, and most enthusiast systems will have the PSU mounted that way!

SF know what they are doing, and these are hardly cheap, so hopefully the actual units aren't like that because thats really dozey if they are... :p
