Super Flower Leadex III 850W Gold+ & RTX 4090

Hi, I currently have this PSU in my system and have just purchased a Gigabyte RTX 4090 Gaming OC.

Firstly, will this PSU handle the GPU as Gigabyte recommend a 1000W?

Secondly, my PSU only has the 3 Pcie connectors. Do I need to get another or can I still use the 3 and pigtail one? Or should I just get a higher rate PSU?

Since you already have the PSU, there's nothing to lose by giving it a try. I suspect it'll be fine.

Thanks for the reply, I caved and bought a Corsair RM1000X with the 12VHPWR adapter. Super Flower can go in my sons case along with the RTX 3090.

My Superflower Leadex 850W handled my Zotac Trinity 4090 just fine, but that's the non-OC model. I swapped it out for a 1000W model anyway.

Just to clarify, I swapped out my 850W PSU because it's going into another PC with a RTX 3090.
