A time used this before for problem walls? The wife did a ‘feature wall’ a few years ago with a metallic bronze paint. Redecorating and put the usual standard primer over the top but that and the paint we are usuing just look awful and with a touch slide off after an hour like a sludge.

I’ve prepped the walls as best I could by sanding, pruning etc. But no good. I read about this super grip primer which apparently you can paint on metal/ceramic and will allow you to paint emulsion over it with good results. It’s about £50 a litre.

Waste of time? Or do I just get the plasterer in and board and skim the wall?

I’ll answer my own question! :D

Got a 1l tin for £26. Rollered the dodgy wall and left for 6hrs. Painted over it with the standard emulsion and it went on fine, needed an extra coat compared to the other walls but great result!
