super help need super quick ;)

hey guys

i have removed a hard drive form a friends computer and now after i have put it in again it won't boot,

i have taken the hard drive to mine and boot as slave and shows up there just can't boot form it has anyone got any idea in what this could be

i know this is posted twice i just need the help super quick

done that and it is set to boot from the hard drive, on mine it flashes a blue screen but on his machine just does nothing

i think it's an oem version but the thing is that all i did was change the case around :S, so it like WTF is goign on here

and yes it is an oem machine compaq

i know it bad so i'm going to have to lend him my gaming rig :'(, but never mind i will figure it out, but all i did was swap cases

it's an ide cable and no new drive same port same cable

The master and sllave setting are correct and no it just does not boot
