Hey folks. :D

Just needing some advice. I recently picked the Gigabyte GA-X38T-DQ6 and made an order yesterday, but it's out of stock so I'm thinking of making a quick switch to another motherboard and getting it for the weekend. (Patience getting the better of me, I know)

I have a Q6600 and DDR2 Ram. I was hoping to be ready for Penryn and DDR3 down the line but I may just get a lesser board and cope with the upgrade when it comes. I doubt I'll be going DDR3 anytime soon anyway, but futureproofing it got the better of me in planning.

Anyway, any recommendations on alternatives? Preferably would like to go for a cheaper or similarly priced motherboard.

Hoping that I can change the order and get it posted out today, hence the 'rush'.

Thanks.

Cheers Stelly, I had a look at that and was close to going for it, but decided the Gigabyte GA-X38-DS5 Intel X38 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard would be the better option, although more expensive.

Huge credit to OcUK as well. Just phoned up and changed the motherboard in a ridiculously short and simple phone call. Most unusual.
