I've been getting this particular error when I start up SUPER video encoder. I also get a "unable to write to" error message when I attempt to exit the program.

This issue seems to have come out of nowhere and I've searched everywhere for an answer. The 'Invalid argument to date encode' error seems to be common to a few other programs, but I couldn't find anything specifically related to SUPER. Re-installation doesn't solve the problem.

Any ideas?

A few places suggest that it has something to do with time/date stuff, though I'm still none the wiser

I'm running XP Home as administrator. No such luck.

The error messages themselves don't bother so much, but they seem to be altering the programs behaviour. I've had a number of bad encodes and it doesn't remember any settings.

I know this is a very late response, but I came across this page while searching for an answer to the same problem. The error is caused by the short date format being the UK style day-month-year. If you change it to US style month-day-year the error goes away.
