Within the past 2-3 weeks I have been experiencing extremely low fps in multiple games (and I assume all) including BF3 and Dawn of War 2. This has not been an issue in the time between now and when I built the computer (Christmas).
My specs are:
Windows 7 x64
Gigabyte x58a-ud3r
i7-950
GeForce GTX 460
12Gb DDR3 RAM
750W OCZ ZS PSU
When playing BF3 my frame rate has become as low as 5-15fps which is just crazy considering it was running perfectly a month ago.
CPU max temps are no higher than 60C. GPU temps are around 55C. GPU usage is 98-99% when playing.
Have updated GPU driver and BIOS to the latest versions.
I have also experienced complete freezes recently, with no BSOD or anything and am forced to restart manually. I'm not sure if this is related but it is certainly annoying as hell.
Image from whilst playing BF3 (notice the FPS on the bottom panel of the afterburner monitor...)
Also, thought I'd add that I've error-checked my HDD and done a memtest on my memory, both returned no problems.
Any help would be great.
Thanks in advance.
Andy
