Anyone else downloaded this yet.

Feels good to be playing it on a telly with a proper controller after playing it on emulator for sooo many years.

On a 28" TV though, it does look a little ODD... GIANT Pixels anyone - ROFL

Im sure it looked great on a 14" TV :)

Anyhow, it is just great.. just as I remember it.

Tempted to download it at 500 points. £3 for it isn't too bad :D

Shame that it was only Super Mario Bros. and a TurboGrafx game - I was hoping for 1 from each system when the console was launched. I was gutted too, last week, when they didn't put Super Probotector on. All I've downloaded is Bomberman '93 - purely for 5 player.

(Mind you, if the games were a little cheaper I would have Sonic, Gunstar, Altered Beast...)

Anyone else secretly hoping they release an Official SD adapter for the DS so you can play your Virtual Console games on the move?

I do really want Gunstar, but I've been saving the points for classic SNES titles which are sadly lacking at the moment. I've got enough Wii games to want to spend anymore on older games I have a passing interesting.

Winds me up cos 1000 points sounds like a lot, but in reality gets you 1 N64 game, and buying anything other than a NES game leaves you with not enough to get anything else. But then 1000 points is only £7.

Well, I went onto the VC earlier and tried to dl it but I guess it kept timing out or something because I caouldnt get a completed download, I'll have to keep trying, it doesnt help that my wireless conection her is very tempremental, keeps dropping, Im too far from the router I guess, but its not my connection really.

i have to say Im loving the VC so far, Ive got Zelda and Bomberman at the mo and Ive played Zelda loads, Im very happy with the purchase, cant wait for Link to the past.

We have, I think, two copies of the NES version, Super Mario Allstars for the SNES, and the GBA "classics" version too. Otherwise, it would have been the first thing I downloaded :). The old Mario games are awesome, and the reason I got into gaming as a kid.

I've just bought SMB3 for the GBA to play on my DS. Can't believe a 10 (15?) (just checked wikipedia - 17!) year old game is still worth buying and playing.

I'm nearly 23, so I was about 6 when I had that game, maybe 7 or so. Absolutely brilliant game, such fond memories.

They just need to bring some more classic SNES titles are they're sadly lacking.

same here, but i guess if they spread the releases out then people are more likely to spend points while they wait on other titles.

Hurry up and bring out Secret Of Mana!! :D

super probotector...now that brings back memories. i LOVED the bit where you were caining it along on those robotic motorbikes, that bit owned. great laugh multiplayer too. we used to argue over who got the heat seaking rocket add on. lol. oh and the flamethrower.

Have you got a DS Vixen? The Mario games on it are great!

I do indeed :). Got it with Partners in Time, and my boyfriend got the New Super Mario Bros with his, which I "borrowed" and completed first. The new game was what tempted me into getting one for myself.

I would get this but somehow I think I have convinced myself it's not worth buying anything earlier than SNES games.
