Hello,

I have a H8SCM-F motherboard in a Rackable Systems 3012 3U server.

I moved it the other day from one location to the other and now it is not booting. I have replaced the power supply and done the paper clip test and it is all fine so no issues there.

I have re seated all the connectors and the RAM and still no boot. There are no lights on the front of the server either as there normally would be regardless if its turned on or not.

Any ideas as to what else I can do to troubleshoot before I pull the trigger on a new MB? I would like to eliminate everything before splashing out.

Thanks in advance.

I have now noticed a flashing green small LED on the MB under the SAS card next to the COM2 socket. No idea what that is !

=======================

The LED is the DP1 BMC Heartbeat LED. It's flashing so it implies that BMC should be working.

I'll try and connect using that.

No joy on BMC. And the DP2 Power-On LED on the motherboard is not lit. According to the troubleshooting info in the manual this indicates there is no standby power to the motherboard.

I guess the MB is shot. I'll order a new one :-(
