Super Quick PCI-Express card question

Hi all, just rebuilding my PC and found out my GFX card blocks the bottom PCIE x1 slot and the top 2 PCIE x1 slots won't work with my soundcard as it's too long and catches the nearest 2 RAM slots.

I can however fit the soundcard (Xonar D2X) on the 8x PCIE x8 slot as there's plenty of room for that, will the card work in this slot?

Just need to be sure before I turn it on!!

Yeah it'll work fine

You can run a PCI-e 1x card in a 16x slot fine etc.
