Hah I ended up with a tc12 phanteks at an amazing price but ill look stupid if it doesn't fit!

How about the Macho 120 instead? The smaller version of the HR-02. I have just got one myself for the i5-4670k and on the desktop it is running at 600rpm and keeping the cpu at low 40's. I know a good way to improve it is to fit a 2nd fan to it as well.
