Hi all

So I've been playing Super SMash Bros on the Wii for a while after looking forward to it for some time but have to say I'm really dissappointed. I haven't tried it online yet but the SP mode always has the same lineup of opponents and the same boss that is only impressive the first time.

2 player is equally dull though I think 4 players would be pretty fun. Anyone sle finding this game a dissappointment? I'm considering trading it in tonight とto be honest.

Perhaps some tips on how to make it a bit more... exciting?

Cheers

Did you play the original smash bros games? Im assuming its just more of the same.

I'm really not interested in Smash Bros. Played the one on the GC and didn't get on with it. Bring on Mario Kart !

I would talk about it at great length but I'm not allowed to on here :(

But smash bros has always been a game about skill and 1v1 no items :p. The more competitive you are and the better your opposition the more fun it is. Have a wander over to smashboards.com where there are regularly over 7-800 fans of the series viewing (simultaneously) daily, they'll be able to tell you what you want to hear.

Because you have to post pictorial proof that you own a game if you're going to talk about playing it before release.

Does get quite silly on here sometimes :( As if someone's not going to knock-off a game cos they can't talk about it on here. (not that I'm saying you have. Or you might, I really don't care.)

EDIT: You added me on your Wii yet?

No, as it's not a universal code and if I want to play online with people there is a separate game dependant code.

Say a friend owns the game and thinks you're a nobber for wanting to take pictures of it with some silly writing about OcUK? What then?

I mean the normal Friends code. Pretty sure you're still grey on mine.

Not sure I follow the 2nd part of your post though

I haven't added you as I add people to play them online, but the general Wii friends code doesn't allow you to do that.

The second part of my post was an example where you could have played an import game extensively but not get pictorial evidence because the friend will think you're a tool.

Sorry guys, I didn't realise that it wasn't out in the UK yet. I guess we can resurrect this thread when it does. I assumed it would have been released by now as it's been out here for a few weeks.

I traded it in yesterday and might pick it up again when it's cheaper. Looking forward to Mariokart and in the mean-time will be spending my time on Mario on Sonic Olympics - now THAT is a good game :D

I think a lot of rereleases lead to disapointment. I loved the first mario kart, then the n64 version, but by the time the gameboy ones, and the cube ones came out, i was bored senseless, even if they were technically good games. The original smash bros was great, i played it for months, but i didnt really take to the remake, and i guess ill not take to this one either unless it offers something new.

Its nintendo's policy though, refine and release, id like something new from them though, like when smash bros came out the first time, its a safe option though, i think pikmin scared them off trying new things.
