Does anyone use the Samsung C49RG90 mostly for productivity (software dev) and with two sources? I'd like a super ultra-wide for work, mostly, and can't find reviews of anyone using this monitor for work. I have questions about the lack of built-in KVM, I use a ugreen km switch so I have one keyboard and mouse for my Mac and custom desktop, will this work with the Samsung?

With PbP i read that refresh rate drops and you lose HDR, but with PbP and two separate sources can you drag and drop files across devices like with the LG49WL95C-W?

Despite the lower refresh rate I had wanted the LG49WL95C-W but can't find it anywhere, is that because newer models are about to released?

The other monitor I considered is the Dell U4919DW but I cant find anything about dual sources, using a single keyboard and mouse and PbP.

Any advice one which way to go?

When marketing says wider what they mean is huge desk space hogging for small vertical image size.
You could almost fit two 32" 3840x2160 monitors into same desk space for lot more screen real estate to work with.
Also price would be lower.

True, the vertical size was a concern but I just kept thinking of only one monitor on the desk, less cables etc. I haven't looked at 32" monitors, do you have something you'd recommend?

Get a 40" 4k TV - 4k resolution, masses of space. It really is like having a wall of vision in front of you.

I've got a Samsung TV that has a PC dedicated input so very little lag and no silly image processing. Running 60Hz at 4k it's great...

Plus SOOOOOO much cheaper than a ultrawide screen.

28" 3840x2160s (tiny bit higher image size than in that ultra low Samsung) actually start from around £250 and cheapest 32" models from £400.

So plenty of choise for dual monitor setup with such budget.
Depending on type of usage could also go for one 32" main 4K screen and second smaller 27" 2560x1440.

For connecting 2014's DisplayPort 1.3 standard would actually have enough bandwidth to drive two 60Hz 4K in daisy chain.
(PC connected to one monitor, from which second DisplayPort cable goes to other monitor)

Most monitors are just made for inferior HDMI with DisplayPort as afterthought and you would have to look around for specs to make sure monitor support DisplayPort 1.3 or 1.4.

I bought the Samsung LC49J890DKUXEN 49-Inch Super Ultra-Wide a year ago and despite it being 1080 its superb and will never go back to a normal widescreen
