I've still got my Rift! To be honest I'd be happy with the Rift with high-res panels and pancake lenses. The tracking worked perfectly for me (three sensor setup), and the controllers were made out of an alloy of adamantium and nokia phone plastic, and balanced perfectly into your hands.

Thanks for the video. Will watch that in a bit.

I'm gonna do a deeper dive into this and create a video as it's a lot closer than people think between these two i've just been messing with the beyond 2 again and it is lovely i want to keep them both

i couldnt tell if the the Pimax super had SLAM tracking or bast station. i think when you mentioned it in video it was in relation to the BSB2.
you did mention you didnt do much testing on the tracking for hand controllers.

I've read the tracking on the BSB2 can be a bit iffy, as it's so small, the tracking sensors on the headset are easily obscured. On an Index or other similar headsets the headset sticks out quite a bit so the sensors are further away from your head and less easily obscured.

A wireless BSB2 with tracking cameras for SLAM tracking and a compute puck/battery would be a brilliant headset. Even if it still used lighthouses for tracking it'd still be a great device. Lightweight with wireless mobility.
