This may require restarting the universe for this one.
Ran a SAS scan yesterday and it found something, so went ahead and quarantined it. It was from the registry, winlong#taskman, I did do a quick google about it before removal, but didn't find much to do with that exact name. There's quite a bit about it now, or I wasn't really looking that well, turns out it's a false positive.
So later on I go to sign into Windows live messenger, error blah blah, then think ah winlogon that got removed, so back into SAS and restored the quarantined item thinking it would work again, but nope still the same.
So I've tired a repair, uninstalling it, uninstalling it using revo unistaller, using the moderate and advanced option and then using ccleaner to look for anything left over in the registry which nothing was found.
But it still won't work same error, and its not WLM service or the WLM version that was the problem as the person I was speaking to is using the same, I had to do this in a virtual machine lol.
So got pidgin installed for now, it's not great big deal as I'm getting Windows 7 for christmas but it's bugging.
Any ideas, or is it just fubared?
