SuperAntiSpyware in 2016

Hi guys,

Just checking in, back in the day the above, combined with Malwarebytes and Spybot used to be the holy trinity for riding any Windows system of nasties - is that still the case?

I ask bescuase I'm having no end of bother scanning my system since installing the new Hitman game over Christmas

Basically, when the SuperAntiSpyware scan gets to the Hitman directory it hangs and I have to force the app to close... any ideas? I'm not adverse to considering other scanners.

These days you don't need any third party antivirus. the inbuilt Windows defender will do if on win 10 or MSE if on 7 or other OS.

I've only ever used those to clear a system of spyware. I don't think they are a substitute for normal AV like NOD32 or Kaspersky?

Run ADWCleaner once in a while, should be all you need.
