Superbikes @ Oulton Park

I went to the British Superbike Championship yesterday at Oulton Park. It's my second attempt at motorsport photography (after the F1 testing at Silverstone in April), shame there aren't more circuits up North to go to. I'm thinking about going to the Touring Cars at Donnington next Sunday, anyone else heading that way?

I'm pretty pleased with these shots, especially the last as it's a 100% crop with no manipulation. It was a good day out, except I completely underestimated it and took a bit of a battering in the sunburn stakes!

All taken with the 300D and Sigma 70-300mm APO DG Macro

Not bad shots there

I will probably be at Touring Cars on Sunday. Don't know why they keep thinking they can put the price up on these things year on year though.

£24 for a ticket is ok in comparison to other big events but I think its a little to high for what it is.

Not bad photos but you need to concentrate on the backgrounds - the marshals/people are too distracting.

I've been to Oulton a few times and have covered most of the angles.
I'm off to Cadwell Park end of August

What's it like at Cadwell for photos ? Can you get away with a modest telephoto (200mm) like Oulton Park or do you need longer lenses?

Good attempt. As SDK said, you need to consider the backgrounds.
